Le président élu gambien Adama Barrow annonce déjà son plan de développement.
La date de son investiture est prévue pour le 19 Janvier prochain, date à laquelle prendra fin le mandat constitutionnel de l’ex président Yahya Jammeh. Celui-ci, après son volte-face a affirmé qu’il ne quitterait pas le pouvoir sans que la Cour ne se soit prononcée, mais cela est loin de dissuader son successeur qui se dit prêt pour gouverner.
A quelques jours de son investiture, le président élu Adama Barrow a annoncé le lundi la mise en place d’un groupe d’experts pour formuler un plan de développement national, « dès son entrée en fonction », précisa-t-il.
Ce plan vise à remplacer celui du pouvoir sortant et aussi permettre au pays de bénéficier de toutes ses potentialités. Objectif : formuler des plans par secteur pour le programme de développement de la période 2017-2020
Adama Barrow veut que son gouvernement soit « immédiatement opérationnel après son investiture le 19 janvier ». Par ailleurs, il a exhorté les gambiens à « prier pour une transition pacifique ».
La Cour suprême doit examiner le 10 janvier le recours du parti du président Jammeh, qui demande l’annulation du scrutin.
