Mali: une possible bavure des militaires de la force française Barkhane
En plein sommet Afrique-France à Bamako, cela tombe plutôt mal pour Paris : de nouvelles révélations sur une potentielle bavure de la force française Barkhane au Mali.
Le magazine Jeune Afrique affirme avoir eu de nouvelles informations confirmant que l’armée française aurait tué un enfant dans le nord du Mali, il y a un peu plus d’un mois. Les soldats français l’auraient ensuite enterré en tentant de cacher les faits.
Les faits remontent au 30 novembre. Ils se sont déroulés aux environs de Tigabatene, près de Tessalit, dans l’extrême nord du Mali. Un enfant âgé de dix ans, selon sa famille, aurait été tué par les soldats français de Barkhane et enterré en toute discrétion.
Après de premières révélations qui avaient circulé en décembre sur les réseaux sociaux, l’armée française avait reconnu avoir « neutralisé un membre d’un groupe armé terroriste chargé de localiser les éléments des forces françaises au profit de poseurs d’engins explosifs improvisés. » En clair, un informateur qui donnait des renseignements à des poseurs de mines.
Jeune Afrique affirme avoir eu accès au compte-rendu d’une réunion au cours de laquelle un général français aurait reconnu que « les soldats français avaient tiré sur un individu considéré comme (…) terroriste, puis l’avaient enterré sommairement. »
Une enquête de commandement a été ouverte, le mois dernier : le terroriste en question était-il un enfant ? Dans quelles circonstances a-t-il été tué ? Etait-il armé, y avait-il danger, et donc légitime défense, ou s’agit-il d’une bavure ? Contactée par RFI, l’armée française assure que l’enquête interne est toujours en cours.
Dans un communiqué, le ministère de la Défense admet avoir « tué un combattant mineur au cours d’une opération anti-terroriste visant un réseau de guetteurs, agissant pour le compte d’un groupe armé terroriste ».
