Côte d’Ivoire-Football: Zahoui François peut-il reprendre l’encadrement des éléphants?
Après l’élimination des Éléphants de Côte d’Ivoire à la CAN 2017 et la démission du coach Michel Dussuyer, la question commence à se poser la sur la désignation du prochain entraîneur des Éléphants.
La Fédération Ivoirienne de Football (FIF) n’a pas encore engagé officiellement des démarches, le recrutement d’un nouvel entraîneur mais des pétitions de plusieurs ivoiriens ont été lancées pour faire revenir Zahoui François , l’ex entraîneur des Ivoiriens en 2012. .
Est-ce un choix objectif ou une question de patriotisme ? Toujours est il que beaucoup pensent que Zahoui François qui a mené les Eléphants à la finale de la CAN 2012, face à la Zambie, ferait bien l’affaire. Il avait effectivement réalisé un parcours apprécié, même si les Éléphants se sont inclinés face à aux Chipolopolos pendant les tirs aux buts.
Si la question de son retour se pose, il faudrait aussi savoir si François Zahoui serait lui aussi prêt à retourner au bercail. Après son départ à la tête de l’équipe nationale, l’homme n’a pas encore réussi à faire parler de lui. Étant actuellement avec la sélection du Niger, il n’a pu obtenir son ticket pour la CAN 2017, on serait bien tenté de penser à un départ de Niamey puisque les résultats avec le Mena du Niger ne plaident donc pas en sa faveur.
Mais il faut aussi savoir que, l’homme n’avait pas eu d’assez bons rapports avec l’équipe dirigeante actuelle de la FIF. Ce qui pourrait être une zone d’ombre sur ce probable retour de Zahoui François comme éventuel successeur de Michel Dussuyer.
La Côte d’Ivoire devra entamer dans un proche avenir la suite des éliminatoires du Mondial 2018. Le choix d’un sélectionneur qui n’a aucune idée de la sélection ivoirienne pourrait être suicidaire. Pour l’heure, les initiateurs de la pétition restent assez confiants.
